Lights – Photo of the Week

For this week’s photo, I am featuring a shot I captured in the Starbucks Coffee location in Disney’s Animal Kingdom last week. The store is called, Creature Comforts, and is a full service Starbucks store.

I have always loved this style of light fixtures. The naked light bulbs just add a vintage and artistic look that, although rustic, feels like a classy feature. One of these days when I get to design my perfect home, these types of lights will definitely featured in one of my rooms!

I can’t help but look at this photo, and not think of some of the lyrics to one of my favorite Ellie Goulding songs, “Lights.”

The particular lyric of choice goes along perfectly with the events of the last week for me.

The queen has been overthrown
And I’m not sleeping now
The dark is too hard to beat
And I’m not keeping up
The strength I need to push me
